
This is a unique opportunity for a top-class Production Supervisor to join this dynamic and long-established Company. Working in a team environment, the Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
The Job:
- Safety
- Ensure a safe place of work by enforcing safety guidelines and company standards
- Quality
- Ensure products are produced to a high quality and in accordance with their specification
- Ensure production processes are being carried out in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Deliveries
- Deliver the production schedule and mitigate deviations
- Report any material deficiencies/changes to the production schedule to relevant parties (auto, moulding, purchasing department)
- Ensure production downtime is accurately recorded and kept to a minimum
- Identify issues in efficiency and implement improvements
- Continuous improvement
- Tightly control any extra costs such as scrap, overtime, inefficiency, etc..
- Maintain and enforce 5s standards in the bay
- Identify and drive kaizen opportunities
- People
- Management of the production team – including hiring, appraising, and performance management
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Development of the production team to ensure their flexibility and readiness for promotion
- Work with specialist teams (quality, validation, training) to ensure that the production team and equipment are fully compliant and up to date
The Person:
- Relevant third level qualification desirable but not essential
- 3+ years supervisor experience of a large team (+50 people), in a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics)
- Experience of 5S, Kaizen and other lean methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in team dynamics
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
