Ei Electronics Supports Future Female Engineers at UL

Ei Electronics has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing gender diversity in STEM through the Women in Engineering Scholarship at the University of Limerick. This annual award provides €2,500 per year for three years to an outstanding female student pursuing an eligible engineering or technology degree at UL.

In 2025, Abbie O’Dwyer was named the latest recipient of the Women in Engineering Scholarship, continuing a tradition of supporting talented students who aspire to shape the future of engineering.

The scholarship is designed to encourage women to enter fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronic & Computer Engineering, Product Design & Technology, and Computer Science. Recipients must maintain strong academic performance and benefit from unique opportunities, including Cooperative Education placements and potential graduate roles at Ei Electronics’ headquarters in Shannon, Co. Clare.
