Ei Electronics Opens New R&D Laboratory in Shannon HQ
Ei Electronics has commissioned a cutting-edge Research and Development Laboratory at its Global Headquarters in Shannon, reinforcing its position as a global leader in residential fire and carbon monoxide detection.

The facility supports a 30-person R&D team, with expertise spanning electronics, chemistry, mechanical design, software, AI, and data analytics. It includes advanced test chambers, smoke tunnels, 3D printing, and RF development equipment—aligned with the company’s growing focus on Connected Home and IoT solutions.
Head of R&D Mike Keegan said, “This new lab will accelerate development cycles and enhance product quality through more advanced testing and innovation.”
