This principle has guided Ei Electronics for decades, and it has now been recognised with the award of an EcoVadis Silver Medal for our latest assessment, reflecting strong performance across Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

What the Silver Medal Represents

EcoVadis awards medals based on percentile ranking across all assessed organisations. A Silver Medal recognises performance in the top 15% globally, provided minimum standards are achieved across all four sustainability themes. It’s a demanding benchmark—requiring robust policies, clear actions, and well‑documented results.

For Ei Electronics, this recognition signals continued progress: growing transparency, stronger internal alignment, and a culture that sees sustainability as fundamental to protecting people, supporting communities, and delivering long‑term value.

• Driven responsible sourcing throughout its supply chain, embedding sustainability into supplier engagement and procurement processes.
• Advanced waste reduction and recycling initiatives, including pioneering work in Germany where Ei offers free recycling of smoke alarms and targets the dismantling of over 400,000 units per year, recovering metals and reusable materials.
• Strengthened sustainability reporting and coordination, with cross‑functional teams improving evidence quality, consistency, and alignment with EcoVadis’ evolving criteria.
