1. Information About Us

Ei Electronics is registered in Ireland Company Number 114252 whose registered address is The Ei Unlimited Company, Shannon Industrial Estate, Shannon V14 H020, Co Clare, Ireland.  We are regulated by the Irish Data Protection Commission.

2. What Does This Notice Cover?

This Privacy Information explains how we use your personal data: how it is collected, how it is held, and how it is processed. It also explains your rights under the law relating to your personal data.

5. What Personal Data Do We Collect?

We may collect some or all of the following personal data (this may vary according to your relationship with us):

  • Name, job title and company name
  • Contact information including email address
  • Bank Account Details
  • Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

Additionally, we may collect additional non-personal information by automatic means when you visit our site. Examples are these are IP address, browser type and operating system, referring URLs, your use of our website and referral information.   • Enforcing least privilege access, ensuring that only authorised personnel with a legitimate need have access to your data.
  • Implementing two-factor authentication (TFA) for all critical services to add an additional layer of security.
  • Utilising secure communication protocols and system controls to safeguard data exchanges within our systems and those provided by third parties.

We repeatedly review our security measures and add additional measures wherever possible to continue to increase our security.

8. How Long Will You Keep My Personal Data?

We will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected.

9. How and Where Do You Store or Transfer My Personal Data?

Sometimes we need to share your personal data with third parties. Where information is transferred, we have procedures in place to ensure that your Personal data is treated as safely and securely as if it were our own processes processing the data. For example, our contracts with those third parties stipulate the standards they must follow at all times.

We may sometimes share your personal data with other companies in our group in order to provide you with the Products and Services that our Group of Companies offer. 

In other cases, we may sometimes have to share your personal data with third parties who facilitate us in providing our products and services to you. We restrict the information shared to only the Personal Information required for them to fulfil their services to us. These companies can include:

  • IT companies who support our website, our applications and other business systems
  • Operational companies, delivery couriers
  • Web analytics companies such as Google who help us to improve our website and applications
  • Direct marketing companies, that enable us to manage our electronic communications with you.

11. How Can I Access My Personal Data?

If you want to know what personal data we have about you, you can ask us for details of that personal data and for a copy of it (where any such personal data is held). This is known as a “subject access request”. All subject access requests should be made in writing and sent to the email address shown in Part 12. There is not normally any charge for a subject access request. We will respond to your subject access request within one month of receiving it. Normally, we aim to provide a complete response, including a copy of your personal data within that time. In some cases, however, particularly if your request is more complex, more time may be required up to a maximum of three months from the date we receive your request.

13. If You Live Outside of Ireland

By using our services or providing your personal data to us, you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data by us or on our behalf. This doesn’t stop you from exercising your rights. In the ordinary course of business, we may transfer your personal data to locations in or outside of Ireland. This may occur because our IT storage facilities and servers themselves are located outside of Ireland.

Any of our customers can still contact us at dataprotection@eielectronics.com. If you live outside of Ireland, but live within the EU/EEA, and you have a complaint about us, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant authority within your country of residence.

14. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if we change our business in a way that affects personal data protection. Any changes will be made available on our website.
