Role Overview

Over the past 5 years Ei Electronics have made huge advances imbedding sustainability into our business strategy.

  • 2023-Completed our Double Materiality Assessment.
  • 2024-Initiated our responsible sourcing program.
  • 2025-Released our full sustainability report and published on our website.
  • 2026-Achieved EcoVadis gold rating.
  • 2026-Committed to SBTI Net zero emissions by 2040.

The next stage of our journey is to complete a Carbon transition plan to align our targets with our ambitions and to continue aligning for the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Reporting to the Head of Sustainability and Supply Chain, the Senior Sustainability Lead will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter.

Key Responsibilities

Carbon Transition & SBTi
  • Lead the annual calculation and analysis of the company’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol emissions.
  • Using our inhouse Sphera (Gabi) tool, improve the accuracy of our scope 3 data by replacing assumptions with specific supplier component LCA’s.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a Climate Transition Plan.
  • Manage the quarterly review of our Carbon transition plan.
  • Prepare and drive the validation of corporate near- and long-term emission reduction targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
CSRD Readiness & Compliance
  • Lead the internal Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Build audit-ready data collection systems and reporting governance frameworks aligned with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Operations teams to ensure successful external assurance of sustainability disclosures.
EcoVadis
  • Manage the annual EcoVadis assessment process, gathering evidence, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective actions to elevate the company’s medal rating to Platinum.
Strategic Leadership
  • Act as the internal and external subject matter expert on evolving EU sustainability policy, ESG reporting standards, and climate risk.
  • Drive cross-functional behavioural change, building buy-in and sustainability capability across various business units.
  • Prepare executive dashboards and presentations for the Board of Directors on ESG performance and carbon KPIs.
Responsible Sourcing program
  • Responsible for the supplier onsite audit program by ensuring external auditors are achieving the yearly audit targets.
  • Responsible for auditing local and European suppliers.
  • Engage directly with supply chain partners colleagues to map, monitor, and mitigate Scope 3 value chain emissions.

Qualifications & Experience

Education
  • Degree (master’s preferred) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a closely related discipline.
Experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in corporate sustainability or ESG, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
Technical Expertise
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing carbon transition plans.
  • Demonstrated success in submitting or validating SBTi targets.
  • Hands-on experience with CSRD readiness and compliance reporting.
  • Direct experience completing and improving company Eco Vadis ratings.
  • Experience with onsite audits would be an advantage.
