The manufacturing process is vertically integrated with Automated Electronics (Surface Mount and Thru Hole) and Injection Moulding. World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards are achieved through the implementation of Kaizen principles. All products are assembled in WCM single-piece-flow cell format. The use of Kaizen cells ensures short lead times, fast changeover, minimum work in progress (WIP) and optimum quality and yields – all focussed at optimising customer service and market responsiveness. Kaizen also ensures a focus on Continuous Improvement. The Manufacturing Quality Systems are approved to International Standards ISO 9000 and EI Electronics is a British Standards Registered Company.
The Technology
The product technology base of the Company is sensors – Ionisation and Optical Smoke Sensors, Heat Sensors, Carbon Monoxide Sensors etc.An in-house Research & Development team is tasked with the design and development of highly featured and reliable products. Designed for the residential market, the products matrix includes battery powered 9 Volt, low-voltage 12-48 Volt and mains powered (220 Volt – 240 Volt).
