Production and Inventory Control Manager

   

 

Production and Inventory Control Manager

Scope of Position:

Initially the position will include responsibility for Production Planning / Scheduling and Inventory Management, but it is envisaged that the role will expand over time to include responsibility for Production Management.

Reporting to:

Operations Director

Duties:

  • Develop and up-date Master Schedule for Materials Planning and Procurement.
  • Liaise with Ei Electronics Sales & Marketing Functions and external Distributors/Sales Agents to ascertain market demand.
  • Incorporate Marketing requirements, including promotional activities, together with historic seasonal sales patterns into Master Schedule.
  • Develop thorough understanding of production capabilities including capacities, leadtimes, flexibility to switch between product models etc.
  • Generate weekly production schedules encompassing up to 40 production cells in conjunction with Manufacturing and Sales.
  • Liaise with Materials on component availability/shortages.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing and Sales regarding commitments to customers.
  • Review sales forecasts which are automatically generated by sales forecasting software and adjust as necessary using market intelligence.
  • Upload details of new products to Sales Forecasting Database including forecast demand. Production cell capacity, min lot sizes, inventory targets etc.

Technical Skills / Experience.

  • Relevant Third level qualification.
  • High level of proficiency in use of Software Packages, Excel, Database Management.

  • Excellent numeracy skills essential.
  • Ability to analyse trends, organise and present data and respond in a timely manner to changing demand patterns.

Main Purpose of Job:

This is a unique opportunity for top class chemist to join this dynamic and long established Company. The position is technically challenging as well as providing a career path to senior management for someone with such ambition.

Working in a team environment, to develop innovative Gas Sensors based on chemical principles for CO and other gases. The position also includes the design of a high volume manufacturing production line for gas sensors.

Key Result indicators for this position include:

  • Sensor Design and Reliability Verification: This is a mature product area so adopting the best practise to designing the CO and other gas sensors is key.
  • Raw Materials: Detailed knowledge of critical properties and analytic techniques for ensuring quality is adequate for long-term product stability.
  • Reliable Production Techniques: Produce consistently high quality products with zero defects.
  • Approvals: Achieve all the required regulatory approval.

Line support Technician/Toolmaker

 

This is a unique opportunity for a top class toolmaker to join this dynamic and long established Company. Working in a team environment, the toolmaker will be involved in the design, manufacture and up-keep of production equipment, test fixtures, tools, jigs and fixtures.

 

The main responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Design and build jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing. (To include semi-automation of same)
  • Maintain and refurbish production line tooling and test fixtures.
  • Support product, process and equipment analysis and improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing production equipment.
  • Support NPI activities through the development of new fixtures and processes.
  • Carry out scheduled PM’s on fixtures and document same and provide process support to high volume production lines.

Electronic Design Engineer

Job Title: Electronic Design Engineer

Electronics Engineer

Reports To: R & D Director

Main Purpose of Job: This is a unique opportunity for a top class Electronics Design Engineer to join this dynamic and long established Company. The position is technically challenging as well as providing a career path to senior management for someone with such ambition.

Working in a team environment, developing innovative solutions for Fire and Gas Detection products and systems.

The design work carried out involves low power analogue, low power radio transceivers and digital electronics and the interfacing of sensors including optical, heat, ionization and carbon monoxide for fire and toxic gas detection. Microcontrollers are used extensively in the company’s high volume manufacture.

R & D Technician

R & D Technician

The purpose of the position is to assist R & D Engineers in the development of Fire and Toxic Gas Alarms, that are reliable and meet or exceed all approval requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist R & D Engineers in Product Development
  • Build and Test Prototypes
  • Life testing of Product and components
  • Verifying software, including C and Assembly
  • Troubleshooting circuits to component level

Job Title:        Product Reliability Engineer

 

Main Purpose of the Job

To ensure the lifetime reliability of our products through ongoing analysis and testing of the products from design to manufacturing to the marketplace.

Accountabilities

Critique product designs

Critique the manufacturing processes

Carry out F.M.E.A. studies on products

Analyze field returns

Carry out field tests

Devise and implement life test programs

Liaise with Product Development, Manufacturing and Sales/Marketing

Be a key input to Product Design and Manufacturing.

Person Specification

 

This is a senior level position requiring strong technical engineering abilities together with excellent analytical skills.  Other requirements include:
