Job Title: Product Reliability Engineer
Main Purpose of the Job
To ensure the lifetime reliability of our products through ongoing analysis and testing of the products from design to manufacturing to the marketplace.
Accountabilities
Critique product designs
Critique the manufacturing processes
Carry out F.M.E.A. studies on products
Analyze field returns
Carry out field tests
Devise and implement life test programs
Liaise with Product Development, Manufacturing and Sales/Marketing
Be a key input to Product Design and Manufacturing.
Person SpecificationThis is a senior level position requiring strong technical engineering abilities together with excellent analytical skills. Other requirements include:
Honours degree in Electronic Engineering
Post-graduate degree desirable but not essential
Enthusiasm and energy
Good interpersonal skills
Good presentation skills, both oral and written
"Hands-on" team player
Assertive, decisive and independent.
Technical Skills / Knowledge / Experience
5 years relevant experience as a Reliability Engineer
Proven track record in a similiar role

National Business Development Manager.
As our marketplace evolves and changes, accessing and developing new business opportunities is and will increasingly be essential to ensuring the growth in sales enjoyed by Aico since its inception, continues into the future.
To lead this effort it is proposed to add a new position of National Business Development Manager. And we are now seeking applicants for this position. Internal and external candidates will be considered for this role.
Position: National Business Development Manager.
Reports to: Barrie Ryan, Sales & Marketing Director.
Location: The job will be based at Oswestry Head Office and the successful candidate will be expected to locate within 30 minutes drive of Oswestry.
Required Background.
Experience of working in a similar role, preferably within the Electrical Market and a track record of success in developing new business therein.
Duties/Responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:-
- Research the target market sectors and establish contacts.
- Target contacts and establish their needs.
- Fully understand the buying process with each target sector.
- Establish strategies to dislodge competitors and take market share within the target sectors.
- Work with the Regional Specification Managers in a coordinated way so that accounts and customers within the sectors are supported and managed.
- Feedback information from the sales process that will assist the business in Product, Services and Commercial development.
- Conduct training on Aico products and relevant regulations.
- Devise the necessary Marketing support in terms of brochures, leaflets etc to drive the sales.
- Attend regular National Sales meetings and give the necessary leadership within the Company in accessing new business opportunities.
- Achieve profitable sales growth by using the proven strength of the Ei Electronics/Aico brand in terms of Quality, Service and Innovation.
